I see pending transactions on my Tango card. When will I get a refund for those?
I can see the transaction is still pending, which means the merchant hasn’t completed it yet. The amount may be temporarily held on your card after the authorization, and it will be finalized once the merchant confirms the purchase.
If the transaction is pending, the user typically can’t cancel it from their side (and support often can’t “cancel” it either), because it’s an authorization hold waiting for the merchant to either complete it or release it.
What you can do:
- Contact the merchant and ask them to cancel/void the transaction. If they void it, the hold is usually released faster.
- Wait for it to expire/release automatically if the merchant doesn’t capture it. The hold is normally released after a few days (time varies by merchant.)
